diffrence in the tracks on a digital reorder such as 8,16,and 24

how may tracks do you think i will need. im a rapper/singer. whats the diffrence between them?

    I'm not exactly sure what you are asking here.  Digital recorders are able to record only a certain number of audio tracks at one time. (this is usually limited by the number of microphone preamps and inputs the company puts in it).

    On the other hand, a computer based DAW can record as many different tracks as you want so long as the physical hard ware you have a can hand than many tracks.

    For Rap Hip-Hop you typically only need to record a single track at any given time an maybe you record in some stereo samples or backing tracks -- that would be 2 simultaneous tacks.

    I would not worry much about the track count on digital recorders and not at all if you are using a DAW.
